Xen Hosting
I am working on providing community oriented virtual hosting for friends and anyone I know. I offer a variety of distributions, based on the ones at jailtime.org:
- Gentoo 2008.0
- CentOS 5.2
- Debian 4
- Fedora 9
- Ubuntu 8.04
- others...
Hosting services include Cacti bandwidth monitoring, and Nagios monitoring for up to 10 services and 5 admins. Notification is currently by email only.
Currently images are limited to 32-bit only. This is because the CPU of the server is one model too old ;) If demand grows, additional servers will have 64-bit support, and the capability to host Windows based guests.
Users can control their guests via SSH through the host machine, or through their web browsers with XenCon, a PHP-based control program that I have been writing, and is in use here.
If you are interested in hosting with us, drop us a line at support@vsnine.org.
We offer e-mail services for a number of domains for a small fee. We offer e-mail clients like Roundcube and Squirrelmail, and remote access via IMAP. It's known to work properly with Mozilla Thunderbird.
E-mail service includes spam filtering and virus scanning.
IRC
IRC, or Internet Relay Chat. IRC on Wikipedia - RFC1459
vsnine IRC network - the vsnine.org, r-type.ca & friends IRC network
Access to the vsnine.org IRC network is available at irc.vsnine.org, on ports 6660-6669, 7000-1, and with SSL on 6697. We strongly recommend that you use SSL, but be warned that messages you send to users without SSL are in the clear. Be careful who you talk to.
You can obtain the SSL libraries at http://www.openssl.org/. They are available for Windows, and come standard on most Linux/Unix/*BSD distributions.
Some popular IRC Clients are mIRC, X-Chat, Pidgin, Ksirc, and possibly X-Chat Aqua ;)
CGI:IRC is available for use in your web browser at: R-Type IRC
Game Servers
Currently, all game servers are offline because I can't afford the bandwidth. If you're interested in paying me to run one, write me an e-mail @ support@vsnine.org.
vsnine.org TF2 - my little piece of fun
vsnine.org UT3 - UT3 is fun too, but I can't wait for the linux port!
